Need help understanding RFIs f...

I’m pretty new to procurement, and my manager just told me that I’ll be handling RFIs soon. Honestly, I’m not entirely sure what they are. I know it's something that asks for info from vendors, but what exactly should I be asking? Also, how do I know if I’m asking the right questions? Anyone got any tips for writing an RFI?
