The core of 8 Ball Billiards is to recreate the familiar rules of 8-ball billiards: two players (or players and AI) take turns hitting balls, one is assigned to hit the solid balls (numbers 1-7), the other hits the striped balls (numbers 9-15). The goal is to get all 7 of your target balls into the pocket, then legally hit the 8 ball into the selected pocket. Whoever pockets the 8 ball first wins. What makes 8 Ball Billiards different from other puzzle games is the blend of realistic physics and complex strategy. Each shot requires you to not only aim at the right angle, but also calculate the force, and most importantly, apply the spin effect to control the position of the cue ball after the shot. A shot that pockets the object ball is good, but a shot that combines the object ball with the ball and puts the cue ball in a good position for the next shot is class.
