Does Counter Strike 1.7 exist?

To be honest, when I overheard my coworkers at lunch talking about improved versions of Counter Strike 1.6, I thought it was some sort of prank because they often mentioned the number 1.7. I've never heard of such a thing, so maybe I'm behind on the technology? Does Counter Strike 1.7 exist?
 

You are partially right, because it is not an official version like CS 1.6 or CS:GO. I liked that the graphics quality really got better, I even got an increase in FPS. The developers also improved the weapons a bit, they are now more clearly drawn and even added their other varieties. You should have seen my eyes when I got a huge katana instead of a standard knife. I immediately felt like a samurai, but the main thing is not to commit harakiri.

Lately I’ve been noticing the M4A4 Dragon King in a lot of loadouts again. It used to be super popular a few years ago, but is it still considered a cool skin now? I'm debating whether to buy it or pick something newer.
