I’ve been through all kinds of folding stocks and adjustable setups for my AKs, but at the end of the day, nothing really matched the reliability and feel of the old-school soviet stocks. I recently picked up an original Russian AK-100 triangle stock (5.5mm pin), and man, it changed the whole vibe of the rifle. First off, the lock-up is super tight — no wobble at all. When it’s folded, it stays folded, and when it’s out, it feels rock solid. What I love most though is the simplicity. No buttons to fiddle with, no rattling parts. Just that raw stamped-steel look that screams functionality. I run a 5.45 AK and this stock balances it out perfectly — the length of pull is actually great for quick transitions and shoulder placement. Plus, the build quality is what you’d expect from true soviet stocks — heavy-duty, no-nonsense, and made to last decades. If you’re into classic military-style builds or just want something you can rely on through hard use, these stocks are the real deal.
